Monthly Newsletter NL64 (Shepshed, Thorpe Acre, Hathern & Dishley)
Welcome to my monthly update for the residents and communities of the NL64 Neighbourhood Policing Area (NPA). This newsletter will be circulated on a regular basis and will provide an insight into what is happening at the NPA.

Retail theft remain a concern for the beat
Work to tackle theft from stores across the beat area has continued, with officers maintaining close engagement with retailers and supporting ongoing investigations where required. During this reporting period, a further prolific offender linked to retail crime was arrested, charged, and remanded to court, reinforcing the team's continued focus on targeting repeat offenders and reducing the impact of shop theft on local businesses. High-visibility patrols have continued in key locations across the beat area to provide reassurance, deter offending, and strengthen relationships with businesses and the wider community. Tackling retail crime remains a priority, and officers will continue to work proactively with partners and retailers to prevent offending and support those affected.
ASB - Feedback from residents shows that Anti-Social Behaviour involving the use of off-road motorcycles Officers have continued targeted patrols in areas including Butthole Lane and Glenmore Park in response to ongoing reports of anti-social behaviour involving off-road bikes. The neighbourhood team has remained visible in these locations to deter offending and provide reassurance to residents. We have responded to community concerns and, where opportunities have arisen, proactively engaged with those involved. Where sufficient evidence has been available, positive action has been taken against offenders. Work to gather information and intelligence continues, and we encourage residents to keep reporting incidents to help identify those responsible and support enforcement action.
Drug Dealing The neighbourhood team continues to gather and develop intelligence relating to suspected drug activity across the beat. Information is being collated and assessed to identify those involved and build the evidence required for further enforcement action. Officers are working proactively with partner agencies and progressing intelligence-led investigations, with a focus on obtaining warrants where appropriate. This remains an ongoing priority, and the team will continue to pursue opportunities to disrupt drug-related criminality and address concerns raised by the community.
